Author: Bill Taylor

Comment: Amazon, which bought Zappos in 200, is borrowing from Zappos’ playbook. They are offering employees in their fulfillment centers a once a year monetary incentive to quit the company as a means to weed out those employees who are not dedicated to the success of the company. Zappos gained notoriety for its use of “The Offer.” During its orientation period, new hires are offered an incentive to walk away from their role. By offering this option, Zappos is able to make sure that new hires are committed to the Company’s mission.
