Countdown to Employee EngagmentThanks to all of our fellow Agents in Engagement for an amazing year! We are making an impact through our focus on employee engagement.  As 2016 comes to a close, take some time to reflect on how you can better engage in 2017.

Engagement is a choice

“[O]ne important factor of engagement that most companies tend to overlook: Unless employees assume some measure of responsibility for their own engagement, the efforts of their organizations, leaders, managers and teams may have a limited effect on improving engagement.”1

To assist you in your reflection, review this curated list of previous Agent In Engagement posts.

Take some time to read these posts and think about how they apply to your situation. After you’ve identified some ways in which you can better engage, start by focusing on improving one thing within your power.  Evaluate your progress after 30 days (January). Once you feel that you are making progress, slowly add another of the options you identified. Keep practicing and applying each of them until they are second nature.  By the end of 2017, you’ll have established a new practice around employee engagement and you will have reaped the benefits all year!
