Engagement grows with learning.
Learning isn’t just about career progression. It’s about keeping skills current , staying adaptable,
and sparking new ideas. Deloitte research notes that learning opportunities are one of the
largest drivers of employee engagement and workplace culture (Engage Employee , “Seven
Ways That Learning and Development Can Foster Employee Engagement,” 2016 ).
Your own learning fuels sharper decisions and stronger approaches. When you make that visible,
it normalizes curiosity and growth, showing your people that continuous learning makes each
of us better at what we do .
Everyday Moves
Ask for help when you don’t understand. It shows humility and creates space for others to step
up.
Observe and practice. Watch how others approach challenges, then apply what you’ve seen.
Tap into free and low -cost resources. Coursera, Udemy, and Khan Academy are only a few of
the platforms offering flexible learning.
Build a reading habit. Start with articles or books recommended by people you respect.
Continuous learning builds confidence, sparks innovation, and equips people to handle
change. When you make learning part of your own routine and encourage your people to do the
same, you prepare your people to thrive in whatever comes next .
What “course” will you take this week to invest in your own learning, and how will you
